Scouts Unite For Fall Clean-Up
Pack 282 joined Troop 282 and the Broad Channel Girl Scouts to assist the Historical Society with the fall clean up at the end of Noel Road.
The scouts worked together to pull weeds, bag leaves and brush, and finally plant daffodil bulbs for next spring.

Undaunted by the rain, Pack 282 weathered the storm and made the Trip to Bushkill Falls, PA. The boys had fun and are looking forward to the host of other activities planned for this fall.
Why we like cub scouts...
...and a reminder to
DO YOUR BEST!!!!!!
Cloud in a Bottle
The whole pack had a blast learning about what makes clouds. Pressurizing a bottle and then releasing the cork and rapidly depressurizing the contents, making the instant Cloud in a Bottle.
<--- Special thanks to Warshaw hardware on Third Ave, in Manhattan for providing the tools to help the boys learn.

Go See It -The Wave
Rockaway's Newspaper
Though school was out for the holiday, the Scouts mustered on the Rockaways to take a tour of the Wave. They got to see how news is gathered and and compiled into a Newspaper...They even made it into the following week's issue....>>
Scout Camp WH Pouch

They last trip of the year was a weekend trip to Camp WH Pouch. Boy Scouts, Webelos, and Tiger Scouts from the Pack/Troop were in attendance. The boys had lots of fun. They fished, swam, tried their hands at the climbing wall and observed wild life. The older boys, in the true spirit of scouting, helped the younger boys by showing them new things and encouraging them along the way. We cooked on the campfire and shared s’mores. A great time was had by all and the boys are looking forward to starting up next year.
CUB WORLD
Pack 282 headed out to Alpine Scout Camp in New Jersey for a full day of Activities. Scouts got to try their hand at archery and air rifles as well as test their skills at handling and utilizing fire hoses. The rain held out long enough for the scouts to participate in the scheduled activities and even attend the closing Pirate show. There were representatives from Pack 282s Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos dens, and all who attended had a great time.
