The Broad Channel Scouts have been in operation for a few years, and though we are a young pack, we have a lot to offer. The community of Broad Channel has been very supportive of us, and has proven that even in a city of 8 million people, you can live in a neighborhood with a small town feel. 

 

Broad Channel has a great deal to offer our young scouts. The Gateway National Park and Bird Sanctuary is an excellent resource, literally in our own backyard. The myriad docks, beaches and waterways that surround the island provide unlimited potential for outings and adventures. 

 

There is also continuity in out pack, because Cub Scouts can progress into the Boy Scouts under the shared leadership and in conjunction with their friends. Also the interconnectivity allows the older boys to take on leadership and mentor roles for the younger boys, while giving the younger boys role models to look up to in their peers as well as parents.

 

The Broad Channel Scouts is an open and inclusive organization that prides itself in diversity as well as  community.
